Legal Secretaries of Texas Inc. was
formed when a group of legal secretaries met on October 12, 1996, to
form a state association to support legal secretaries through education
and networking in a demanding profession where quality standards and
client expectations grow higher each year. Our membership includes legal
secretaries of all levels of experience who support their professional
association with their time, expertise, talent, spirit, and resources.
Membership in Legal Secretaries of Texas Inc. is open to anyone who is presently or has previously been employed in the legal secretarial profession or who is interested in the legal secretarial profession. Legal Secretaries of Texas Inc. holds an annual meeting and may meet in conjunction with the Legal Secretaries International Inc. annual meeting. Every member of Legal Secretaries of Texas Inc. has a voice and a vote. Proxy voting is available to those who cannot attend a meeting. What you get for your dues: quality education, networking with legal secretaries and members who understand the important role of the legal secretary, respect from the profession, and lifelong friendships. Would you like to join us and network with your peers? Our dues are $20 annually, renewable on your membership anniversary date. Williams, PLS Legal Secretaries of Texas Inc. is affiliated with Legal Secretaries International Inc., a nonprofit Texas corporation. Legal Secretaries International Inc. was formed in April 1995 and has recruited more than 650 members in 34 states, Canada, England, Russia, India, and the Philippines. Its main focus is on the legal secretary. Membership in Legal Secretaries International Inc. is open to anyone presently or formerly employed as a legal secretary or interested in and supportive of the legal secretarial profession. Members of Legal Secretaries of Texas Inc. are not
required to join Legal Secretaries International, but may attend meetings
and other functions of Legal Secretaries International Inc. at member
rates. |
